Are you someone who is wondering which cryptocurrency is the best to invest in right now to get the maximum gains in the long run?

If yes, then make sure to read this article till the end, as I will show you the best cryptocurrencies that have the most potential to make massive gains in the future. Some of the coins mentioned in this article could even go up as much as 500% by the end of 2021.

Here are my recommendations for the best cryptocurrency to invest in right now :

#1. Ethereum

Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap and is also the top pick for institutional investors. It has gone up by about 145,000% since its official launch in 2015 while writing this article. It is still up by 450% year to date.

Ethereum is a decentralized software platform that enables smart contracts and decentralized applications (dapps) to be built and run without downtime, fraud, control, or interference from a third party. The goal behind Ethereum is to create a decentralized suite of financial products that anyone in the world can freely access, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or faith.

Unlike bitcoin, Ehtereum has a solid team behind it, and they are constantly working towards making the platform even better. A newer version of their platform will be released next year, which will make the platform even better. As it has enormous potential it could easily overthrow Bitcoin as the largest cryptocurrency in the long run.

#2. Cardano

Cardano is a proof-of-stake blockchain platform that says its goal is to allow “changemakers, innovators, and visionaries” to bring about positive global change. It was founded by Charles Hoskinson, who was also one of the co-founders of the Ethereum network. He is the CEO of IOHK, the company that built Cardano’s blockchain.

Cardano is referred to as the “Ethereum Killer” because it is more efficient than Ethereum. Cardano is also one of the largest blockchains to successfully use a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, which is less energy-intensive than the proof-of-work algorithm relied upon by Bitcoin. Although the much larger Ethereum will be upgrading to PoS, this transition will only take place gradually.

It is a cheaper, energy-efficient, and scalable blockchain compared to its rival Ethereum.

#3. Solana

Solana is also a decentralized protocol for building daaps, creating smart contracts, and minting NFT’s. Just like Cardano Solana is also referred to as the “Ethereum killer”.

But what makes Solana unique is the fact that, unlike most protocols that run with the Proof of Stake (PoS) or Proof of Work (PoW) mechanism, Solana uses the Proof of History (PoH) — a new cryptographic mechanism that amplifies scalability while maintaining network security.

Solana also solves all the major problems that Ethereum faces like scalability issues, high transaction costs, and more. It can process about 65,000 transactions per second which makes them the fastest in the entire crypto industry.

Solana’s price has been on a major bull run this year gaining about 11,650% YTD. It is also one of the favorite coins of institutional investors.

#4. Polkadot

Polkadot is a “multi-chain network” that aims to connect different specialized blockchains into a single unified network. Simply put it is acting just Like how HTML allows, sites, browsers, and servers to interact with each other.

Blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum have their own network and they have no interaction with each other. Polkadot aims to solve this problem by allowing different blockchains to interact with each other, which helps developers to build value on top of all blockchains, rather than just one.

They also solve two of the major problems of scalability and governance that blockchain-based systems most need to solve.

DOT is the native token of the Polkadot blockchain, and it has gained about 371.93% growth YTD.

#5. Chainlink

The fifth and final coin on our list is Chainlink. Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that provides real-world data to the smart contracts that run on various blockchains.

The absence of a central intermediary makes the developers using various blockchains face the challenge of finding a way to provide smart contracts with the real-world data they ideally need to interface with to be able to execute more ambitious functions. This is exactly the problem that Chainlink solves.

As real-world data is necessary for smart contracts to work efficiently there is a huge potential for Chainlink to grow in the future. They also have partnerships with Google and Polkadot.

The native token of Chainlink is Link, and the coin has gained over 160% growth year to date.

Conclusion

So summing things up, the best coins that you can invest in right now to get the highest returns with comparatively fewer risks are

  • Ethereum
  • Cardano
  • Solana
  • Polkadot
  • and chainlink

I hope this post helped you guys, let me know in the comments section which cryptocurrencies do you think will moon this year.
